Quinn is 10 months old today! Amazing, he's in double digits! Guess I have to start planning that first birthday party. He had a very Merry Christmas and hopes you did too! We will have more updates later from our trip to Tennessee. Have a great week!

Our Christmas Traditions
Being the sap that I am, I enjoy a good tradition, custom, repetitive action, whatever you want to call it. Now that I have a child, I'm excited to start some new traditions with him.
The first "tradition" is that each year I will ask Quinn to decide what his current favorite toy is and then we will go to the store together and purchase it and then donate it. I want him to understand that there are kids his age in our area who won't get much, if anything, for Christmas. This year I picked out and bought the toy and we gave it to a toy drive for kids who have been removed from their homes in the Hillsborough County area but have not yet been placed in foster care. I made sure to take a picture of Quinn with the toy, so he can look back on this tradition each year.

Another "tradition" I think will be to go to Christmas Lane every year. It is a local home that sets up huge Christmas displays every year. We went last night and while Quinn didn't get the full enjoyment, he did like looking at the lights and the train. I definitely think he will like it more in the coming years. Here are some pictures from our visit last night.

Quinn's Boo-Boo
I feel like a horrible mother. He had already pulled a stocking down on himself once, and I didn't move them. Well, today I learned my lesson. As you can see in the pictures below, Quinn pulled a stocking and its hanger down on himself and got hurt. It looks much worse than it is, he was smiling within a few minutes. I just felt so bad when he was crying and bleeding. Ugh, I guess this is just the beginning for stuff like this with my little daredevil!
As you can see, the stockings have been moved to a non-reachable place!

My skinny baby
Quinn went to the doctor on Friday for his 9 month appointment ( a little late, I know). He is now 28.5 inches long and weighs 18 lbs even. So in 10 months he has gained 10 lbs, something most people would be very upset with. He is in the 10th percentile for weight and the 50th for height, so he is still skinny, but his length growth is slowing. That might be good, hopefully he won't grow out of his pants so quickly!
Here is another picture of Quinn and the Christmas tree.

O Christmas Tree
The tree is up and decorated and of course Quinn is overly interested in it. Today was really the first time he went up to it and really explored. He pulled one ornament off a few times and yanked at a few branches, but nothing really terrible. He was also very interested in the 2 presents that are already under the tree. Of course they are for him!!
Hopefully I'll be able to get some better pictures in the coming days!

Big Boy Tub!
I finally gave Quinn a bath in the big tub on Sunday. I definitely need to get some tub toys for him to play with, as that will make it more fun for everyone.
He was a little unsure at first.
Then he got a little scared.
But then it was all smiles and fun!

Quinn Loves Puffs!
I introduced Gerber Puffs to Quinn a few weeks ago, and love is not a strong enough word to describe how he feels about them. I think he would eat them all day long if I kept handing them to him. They have come in quite handy during possible meltdown situations while out.
So the other night he was in the kitchen with me while I was making dinner and all of a sudden he takes off across the floor. I look over and he had spotted the Puffs container in the diaper bag, pulled it out, and was obviously trying to get at what was inside. At least he hasn't been able to figure that out yet!
