Yoda says...

Happy Halloween!

More pictures to come, but I wanted to get this up the day of! If you'll recall, he was Chewbacca last year, so we just continued the Star Wars theme. Maybe next year he'll be Darth Vader.

My Disney Weekend

Here is a blog post about me! My life can't be all Quinn, right?

So Saturday was my friend Joy's birthday and she wanted to go to Disney, since she got in for free on her birthday. I wanted to go since I live Disney and since she is moving to Cambodia next year, I figured I'd better hang out with her while I can. Ross and I had been planning on getting Season Passes, so this was the best time to do so. After some finagling, Joy and the other 2 girls that came with got free Park Hopper passes and we decided to go to all 4 parks. It was a slow start, but once we got going, there was no stopping us. We started at Animal Kingdom, which I love and Joy had never been to before. We hit the highlights, the safari, Expedition Everest, and the Dinosaur ride. Our friend Elisa joined us at Animal Kingdom, and then we were off to Hollywood Studios. We rode Rockin' Roller Coaster and had lunch. Then our little group split up for a while and Joy, Elisa, and I stood in along line for the Toy Story Mania ride...so much fun!

Joy with Mr. Potato Head, right before he dropped his ear on the floor.

Me having way too much fun in line!

Joy and Elisa and the earless Mr. Potato Head.

After Hollywood Studios we headed to my favorite park, Epcot.

We got on Test Track and Soarin' (front row of course) and enjoyed some of the yummy foods that Food and Wine has to offer. Since we waited in line at Soarin', we were not able to do anything else at Epcot, so we were off to the Magic Kingdom. We got there during the first evening parade, so we went to find some dinner and I was introduced to the magic of the corndog nuggets at Casey's on Main St. So good!

We watched the fireworks, went on the Haunted Mansion, Philharmagic, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Then we took a crazy scary bus ride back to our car, and found some wonderful souvenirs in the parking lot.

Ok, not really, but that would be fun!

The next day I was back at Epcot for a full day at the Food and Wine Festival. Elisa and her husband Kevin met us and we spent the day eating, drinking and having fun. And I got to go on Soarin' again (in the front row!). It was a great weekend, that left me tired, but with a lot of great memories.

20 Months!

My baby turned 20 months old yesterday! That's 1 year and 8 months for those keeping score. I can't say enough how all those annoying people who say it goes fast are so right. He is becoming more and more like a little boy every day. He has a current fascination with most modes of transportation, especially trucks and buses. Oh, and when he hears an airplane he points up to the sky and makes the P sound over and over. Too cute. He also loves Momo (Elmo) and gets very excited when Sesame Street is on. I love seeing his personality develop and even the bad stuff (tantrums, whining) is all a part of that.

Oh, and he does Pilates!

Finally, some activity!

The past few days have been busier, which has been nice. Despite my ongoing car issues, which are both better and worse, we had a great time with my parents and sister for the time they were here, short as it was. We took a 2nd trip to the aquarium, due to the zoo being closed due to rain, went shopping, and just enjoyed spending time together. Below is a great picture of Quinn and grandpa looking at the "pish".

Today I met a friend and her family at a pumpkin patch in north Tampa. It was quite a drive, but we had fun. Quinn loved looking at the animals, especially the horses. I hope to take him to another one south of us at some point before Halloween, we shall see.

Here is Quinn and a goat.

Here he is patting a horse, which he was both scared of and loved.

He tried so hard to pick up that pumpkin.

He is my own pumpkin king.
Hope everyone is having a great fall. It is finally a little cooler here, and we are loving it!

Still not much going on

Again, sorry about the lack of updates, but not too much has been going on. At least not much worth taking pictures of. Quinn did get a stomach virus last week, which included him throwing up 11 times in 4 hours and twice in public the next day. Then mommy and daddy got it, which was really no fun. Something no one ever tells you is how toddlers don't understand throwing up and it ended up streaming out of his nose as he didn't know to keep his mouth open. He was trying to keep it in and it had to come out somehow. Not fun.

We're all healthy now and my parents and sister are visiting, so hopefully we'll have some fun and good pictures to post! Have a great week!
