Mommy's Afternoon Out

I went to a movie this afternoon with my best friend Joy. It was nice to get out and I was much less freaked out or stressed than I thought I would be. Ross did great with Quinn. Although when I met them for dinner, Quinn was wearing a newborn size outfit (which surprisingly fit him) over the onesie he had on earlier. Ross thought the onesie was an undergarment. So cute. He also said he didn't eat very much. It was the first time he had only had a bottle at a feeding, so its understandable that he was a bit confused. I was happy to see him again, even though we were only separated for 3 hours.

On a movie note, Sex and the City was quite cute. I enjoyed it a lot and thought the ending was very fitting. I do love a good movie!

3 months...

Our little man is growing up so fast. He's 3 months old today already. While I know that isn't all that old, it still seems older than he should be. He's rolling over already (though not all the time), smiling at everyone, cooing, ad starting to discover his hands. It really is amazing to watch him figure things out and actually learn. Totally the best job ever!
On a completely separate note, I was walking to Quinn's room this morning to change him and in the middle of the room next to the living room (I don't know what to call it) was a frog. How the heck it got there, I have no idea. It was just sitting there in the middle of the room. It had to come from somewhere, right? Ross picked it up and took it outside, as I wanted nothing to do with it. Gross.

We've got action!

He's rolled over several times in the past few days, very exciting!! He's also holding his head up really well when on his tummy. The things I get excited about these days!

Tomorrow would have been my first day back at work, and while I am going there, I'm just glad I'm not taking Quinn to daycare. Please be in prayer that I get the job at Starbucks soon!

I quit my job today!

After much deliberation and thought, I quit Big Brothers Big Sisters today. I was not easy and I am still having mixed feelings. I have worked there for almost 7 years and while there has been much I didn't like, I have experienced a lot of wonderful things and worked with a lot of wonderful people. But I have found something that will be more beneficial for my family and that is what I have to focus on right now. I will be able to be with Quinn during the day and I am very excited about that. I will miss my friends and all the wonderful kids and schools I have worked with over the years, but I'm not going to forget, I'm just saying see you later.

On a sadder note, please keep the family of Pastor Forrest Pollock in your prayers. He passed away in a plane crash along with his 13 year old son, Preston. Ross did the low voltage wiring in his house and always commented on how nice he was and how great his family was. He leaves behind a wife and 5 other children.

Quinn says...

Happy Birthday Mommy! Ok, so he's not really saying that, but a girl can dream right? I put him in my favorite onesie today, it says Mommy's Hunky Monkey. Too cute.
On a side note, this is what he was doing the other day, trying to see out the sliding glass doors to the outside world. A little daredevil already!

Another week gone by...

Not much has happened since my parents left last Sunday. It has been a pretty calm week, which is great. I did have a bridal shower to go to for my friend Katie yesterday, which Quinn and I had a great time at. Oh, and Ross, Quinn, and I went to PF Chang's in Tampa last night. They have the best new desserts...they're miniature desserts in shot glasses that cost $2 each. They have 8 different varieties, the Smore's one was so good. So, go to PF Chang's and try them...now!

Here are some more pictures from the week. Enjoy!

Joy is funny!

Look, mommy dressed up!

I guess my son belongs to a gang...I wish I knew what his colors were so I could make sure he was always dressed appropriately!
